It has been revealed that Andrew Garfield's "The Amazing Spider-Man" reboot is the first of the trilogy. Thus, the actor will be wearing the suit for the "The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and 3."

The announcement of the sequels was made official on the Facebook fan page of "The Amazing Spider-Man."

There have been news that marc Webb's take on the superhero will have a sequel in 2014. However, there have been hazy and vague information on who will be taking the helm and other details.

The Facebook post reads, "It's finally here! The Amazing Spider-Man is the first installment in a movie trilogy that will explore how our fave hero's journey was shaped by the disappearance of his parents."

Andrew Garfield banked the role of the masked superhero of New York City. The reboot narrates the story of Peter Parker in a different angle from Sam Raimi's take of the trilogy. This time, a younger version of Peter is seen as a high school student.

Peter Parker tried to unearth the cause of the disappearance of his parents. Spider-Man came face-to-face with his father's former partner, Dr. Curt Connors, who took form of "The Lizard."

There was news that Andrew Garfield cried when he first put on Spider-Man's mask. Surprisingly, Garfield did a great job in his portrayal of Peter Parker. The actor said that he studied movements of a spider as part of his preparation for his role.

Moreover, director Marc Webb supported Garfield in taking the role of Spider-Man saying that Andrew is a very talented kid based from his previous works.

Prior to becoming Spider-Man, Garfield, 28, appeared in a string of British films and dramas, including Boy A, Doctor Who and Red Rising. Since moving to Hollywood, he's starred in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), Never Let Me Go (2010) and The Social Network (2010).
