After releasing the Android 6.0 and 6.0.1 Marshmallow updates for its 2016 flagship smartphones, the South Korean tech giant is now releasing the software update for its older devices like Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 and its variants are now receiving Android 6.0 update. The update is available for model number SM-G900L that is available in Trinidad and Tobago.

Sprint has also released the Android 6.0 with version number G900PVPU3CPCA for its Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 Sport users. Other carriers in the U.S. are also expected to release Android M update soon for their variants of Galaxy S5. The upgrade also improvements to the TouchWiz UI.

Sprint has also release Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for its Galaxy Note 4 users. The international edition of Galaxy Note 4 that carries a model number N910C is also currently receiving the software upgrade, Sam Mobile reported. Carrier-locked models of Note 4 as well as other variants of Galaxy Note 4 are yet to receive the Android M update.

Since the beginning of the previous month, the owners of Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ across the world are receiving the Android Marshmallow update in phases. In Canada, Bell and Telus have already released the software update for these devices whereas Rogers will make it available by April 27. In the U.S., both Sprint and Verizon Wireless have released Android M update for Galaxy Note 5 users. Other US carriers are expected to release the update soon for Note 5.

The Android M OTA update alert will automatically show up on the aforementioned devices. Alternatively, users can manually check its availability by navigating to About Phone > System updates > Check for update.

In March, it was revealed through a leaked Samsung document that the company is working on releasing Android Marshmallow upgrade for more devices. The owners of Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge are expected to receive the Android M update in this month.
