American rapper Eminem has expressed his desire to become one of the jury for British talent show, X-Factor. He says that the present judges, Australian singer Danni Minogue, Girls Aloud band member Cheryl Cole and British music manager Louis Walsh are incapable in mentoring the contestants into becoming real superstars. The 37 year-old rapper who has sold several multi-platinum albums has further stated that the contestants of the talent show require professional guidance from international recording artistes such as Dr Dre and himself, in order to prepare the budding talents to face the hard-hitting scenarios of the real music industry.
He told the British daily 'The Sun', that there was no disrespect directed at the current panel but they are just not cut out to maximize the potentials of these fresh talents. Eminem went on to say that his rigid schedule might not permit him to be a full-time judge, but he is available to step in for a couple of episodes.
The Detroit-born multiple Grammy Award winner, who recently had started a highly publicized lyrical feud with singing diva Mariah Carey, is not new to plunge into attention-grabbing entertainment headlines. During the MTV Movie Awards in June this year, a publicity stunt was carried out by Sacha Cohen Baron's alter-ego, 'Bruno', who 'accidently' crashed into Eminem with the former's stark bare-buttocks hanging in front of the startled rapper's face. The furious hip hop star together with his entire entourage stomped off the ceremony shortly after. When contacted by the press for comments regarding the incident, the Grammy-Award rapper replied that the act was actually a premeditated joke.
