Woods Crashed into Tree

Tiger Woods was involved in an accident yesterday morning and has suffered minor injuries. The world's number one golfer was rushed to Orange County's Health Central Hospital by the local fire and rescue crew. According to CNN, the 33-old highest paid professional golfer backed out from the driveway and knocked into a fire hydrant in front of his home, then swerved the car right into a tree.

Woods' former Swedish model wife, Elin Nordegren, who was inside the house during the crash, hurried to the porch and used a golf club to smash the windscreen of the Cadillac SUV to pull Woods out.  Woods was treated at the Orange County hospital ward and released within the same day.

According to his spokeswoman, the Florida police have yet to speak to the shaken Woods regarding the single-vehicle accident. Sources indicate that Woods was not under the influence of alcohol during the crash.

Woods had been looking forward to host the Chevron World Challenge in California. Woods and had even stated in his blog that he was thrilled with his accomplishments at the PGA this year. The Buddhist devotee says that his faith keeps him calm and patient during stressful times.

The phenomenal golfer who turned professional in 1996, has been putting since he was two. The third all time winner of the most PGA tours is a fusion of African-American, Thai, Dutch, Native American and Chinese. He has two children with Nordegren, 2 year-old Sam and 7 month-old Charlie.
