Keith Urban did his part to spread the season's greetings and cheer around when he went shopping in Brisbane on Saturday morning.

The rocker, who is also known as Nicole Kidman's husband to non-fans of country rock music, was in town for a series of well-received concerts. According to the owner of the store, Tym Brennan, who spoke to ABC Radio, Urban had strolled in with his band and tried out guitars. At the same time, a young shopper was also trying out a fuzz pedal.
After picking out a guitar, Urban asked Brennan the price of the fuzz pedal that the teenager was trying out. Brennan dutifully told him ($450), and was astounded when Urban instructed him to "put it on his credit card". Brennan was told to break the news to the young man only after Urban had left. On his way out, Urban shook the boy's hand and wished him "a merry Christmas".
The bemused youngster then approached Brennan to clarify if he had indeed shaken hands with Keith Urban, and was then hit with the good news.
Brennan said the flabbergasted youth "looked at me several times blankly and sort of turned a bit white" before he eventually called his father to tell him "that Keith Urban had just bought him a Christmas present".
