‘Clash of Clans’ dev Supercell enjoy 100M active players every day boosted by 'Clash Royale'
It’s hard to call Supercell as a one-game wonder. Though the developer is most known for its addictive and widely-played “Clash of Clans,” the studio has proven that this is not the only popular game to its name.
In a video announcement, the developer revealed that its four games are totalling over 100 million players every day. This is the figure combined for gaming apps “Clash of Clans,” “Hay Day,” “Boom Beach” and the recently released “Clash Royale.”

The video, seen below, makes use of nice infographics comparing the number of lattes drank in America and even the populations of 10 areas in the world to the number of players engaged in Supercell’s four titles. As far as figures in the games are concerned, Supercell also revealed that the multiplayer aspects of the games, such as having 250mm clans, task forces and neighborhoods.
Still, Supercell did not just recognise its own successes, but also the efforts to getting there. It appears that before “Clash of Clans,” “Clash Royale,” “Hay Day” and “Beach Boom” became hard-hitters for players, there were 14 other titles that the studio went through and killed to get to the four successes.
Despite being relatively new, “Clash Royale” is gaining popularity. GameSpot even reported that it is among “Fallout 4” creator Todd Howard’s favourite mobile titles. Over at the Apple Store, it is currently an Editor’s Choice title. Android players will also get their hands on “Clash Royale” when it comes to the Play Store this March, as per Android Authority. It is already on soft launch back in February for Android in areas like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Hong Kong.
As for Supercell’s potentially most known and most popular title, “Clash of Clans,” players are still awaiting the March update and its contents. The last known leak for the upcoming “Clash of Clans” March update is the inclusion of a new troop. According to Touch Arcade, Supercell is working on the newest troop to debut in “Clash of Clans,” though the Clash community has been in an uproar of speculations due to lack of concrete details.
The only thing known and official is that the new troop takes inspiration from an old troop that should have been part of the early version of “Clash Royale.” From data mining “Clash Royale,” some fans have seen codes that pertain to an Ice Mage, a character that has remained unused in “Clash Royale.”
For now, the Ice Mage theory is the closest that the “Clash of Clans” community has ever gotten to speculations for the new troop. Supercell has not yet announced anything more for the expected update, so it’s best to take this with a grain of salt until more teasers come into play.
