Eden Hazard, David De Gea and Alexis Sanchez are all among the top nominees announced for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year award on Monday. The list also includes John Terry, Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa, Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Philippe Coutinho and Harry Kane.

The PFA Fans’ Player of the Year is voted upon by fans of all 20 clubs in the Premier League. A five man shortlist will be chosen from among the 10 names above, based on the amount of votes they receive by May 19. Voting will continue until midnight of May 25, and the winner will be announced May 26.

Hazard has already won the PFA Player of the Year award, voted upon by players across the league. Harry Kane, meanwhile, won the PFA Young Player of the Year award, again voted for by fellow players in the league, and given to those players below the age of 23. Previous players to have won the Fans’ Player of the Year award include Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and Cristiano Ronaldo. Hazard, Kane, Sanchez and De Gea would certainly be the main favourites to claim the award this time around.

Hazard has been in consistently good form for Chelsea this season, scoring 14 goals and 8 assists in 36 matches in the Premier League this season. Harry Kane, meanwhile has scored an outstanding 31 goals in his breakthrough season at Tottenham, which has also seen him feature for the England national team and score on debut. Alexis Sanchez has powered Arsenal to third in the table, having scored 16 goals in 31 games for the club.

David De Gea has, on multiple occasions, single-handedly won games for Manchester United, who have to thank the Spaniard for virtually ensuring Champions League football next season at Old Trafford. He is arguably the best goalkeeper in the Premier League and perhaps second only to Manuel Neuer in the world.
