Singer Katy Perry dazzled the crowd during the 49th Super Bowl with enthusiastic performance and four co-ordinated outfits on Feb. 1. She shared the stage and co-ordinated her looks with Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot. According to Elle, Perry collaborated with Jeremy Scott for the entire show’s looks and concepts.

The singer sported four distinct looks, each inspired from different sources. The flame dress that Perry wore as she entered the stage, riding a giant mechanical tiger, was inspired by a pair of Adidas shoes, Scott revealed to Elle. The Moschino designer teamed up the fiery dress with LaDuca boots with Swarovski crystals. Kravitz made a cameo appearance during this early phase of the Super Bowl halftime slot.

The second look that Perry sported was inspired by her own ‘California Girls’. The beach ball bikini dress was designed to be worn inside the flame dress. “…along with choreography and music rehearsals, there’s basically a fashion rehearsal to make sure it all works”, Scott said while talking about the transition from the flame dress to the bikini one to Elle.

Dancers costumed as sharks, trees and surf boards etc. accompanied Perry as the set transformed into the ‘California Girls’ mood. Earlier this, she promised her fans that there would be big predators like sharks and tigers on stage and she kept her promise in her signature style.

When Missy Elliott came on the stage, it was the third time that Perry changed her costume. Scott designed this sweatshirt dress to go well with Elliott’s track suit looks. The dress had 49 written on the back to celebrate the 49th year of the Super Bowl.

The silver gown was designed to work with her hit “Fireworks”. The gown had silver stars above the shoulders. The entire outlook worked beautifully as she came down on the stage, standing on a small platform. Scott designed this outfit keeping in mind that this would be the last one during the event. “It’s her finale moment -- it has to be show-stopping," he said about the final look.
