Kate Moss's name exploded onto a lot of fan polls for the role of Anastasia Steele in the highly anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." How, when and why was the model mogul even considered for the role? Blame "Comic Relief" for the hilarious stunt they pulled that managed to make "Fifty" fans consider Moss for the role of Steele.

In a hysterical effort to raise money and awareness, the UK-based charity group Comic Relief joined up with BBC radio. Joining them on air was 39-year old model, Kate Moss. What was the model doing on air? Well, the DJ's of the show had requested Moss to read an excerpt from James' erotica novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Joining Moss in the read were Lily Cooper and David Walliams. The model managed to do it but not without difficulty and moment of subdued laughter. The model had attempted to hold back her giggles throughout the whole read but in the end, Moss had cracked up and fallen backward on the couch.

"She was incredibly nervous," said a source close to Kate, adding, "She did panic and couldn't stop laughing at herself for being so nervous, but she did great."

Moss definitely did great because the reading entitled "Fifty Shades of Kate" managed to amass $376,000 worth of donations. Check out the video below.

Also, thanks to Moss's' take on Ana on air, a lot of "Fifty Shades" fans have greatly considered Moss's' potential to play Anastasia Steele. However, the model might have a bit of competition with fan favourites, Alexis Bledel of "Gilmore Girls", Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones" and Felicity Jones of "Like Crazy."

Yet, considering Moss's' age and looks, the model has a very slim chance of being cast as Ana. Kate is 39-years of age and blonde as compared to the character Ana who is 22-years of age and brunette. Of course, fans of Kate Moss can only hope.
