'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 spoilers: Bonnie Winterbottom backstory, confrontation and Asher's discovery in Episode 5 [WATCH]

The major storylines of Sam’s murder, Rebecca’s disappearance and the Hapstall mansion murder will continue to intertwine in “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2, episode 5 titled “Meet Bonnie.” The new episode’s title also hints that the viewers will get a backstory on the HTGAWM character Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil) and her personal connection to Annalise Keating (Viola Davis).

The storyline on the Hapstall mansion in “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 is getting crazy and more puzzling, but every new episode will slowly piece together on what really happened the night Annalise got shot and who killed A.D.A. Emily Sinclair (Sarah Burns). The promo video of “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 teases on Bonnie’s connection to the Hapstall mansion mystery.

The new episode is titled “Meet Bonnie” but the synopsis in a Carter Matt report did not even mention the HTGAWM character. According to the synopsis, the fifth episode of “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 will feature on HTGAWM characters Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry), Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) and Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch).

Asher will find out that not everything is what it seems, while working for Annalise Keating. Frank will be presented with a situation that strikes close to home while Wes’ further investigation on Rebecca’s disappearance will conclude into an explosive confrontation.

Even though the synopsis did not tease anything about Bonnie, the episode is still expected to explore on the past of Annalise’s associate attorney. The new season’s premiere episode has revealed that it was Bonnie who killed Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay) and she did it for Annalise.

Bonnie has shown once again in the previous episode that she is really willing to do anything for Annalise. During her confrontation with Asher, Bonnie has claimed that she was the one who killed Annalise’s husband, Sam Keating (Tom Verica).

Aside from finding out why Bonnie helps and protects Annalise, the new episode is also expected to reveal more on the involvement of the Hapstall siblings, Caleb (Kendrick Sampson) and Catherine (Amy Okuda), during Annalise’s shooting and murder of A.D.A. Emily Sinclair. “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 returns with episode 5 titled “Meet Bonnie” on Thursday night, Oct. 22, at 10/9c on ABC.
