The digital HD format, blu- ray/ DVD of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1” are all set to hit the stores. They will feature the on-set footage and some exclusive interviews of the cast and crew of the film. The bonus footage will reportedly provide in-depth look at the process of filmmaking. It will showcase the work gone into creating the enthralling set of District 9 and the recce done by the production staff to choose the perfect location.

The release dates of both the formats are Feb 17 and March 6, respectively. It has also been reported that the digital HD format also features two deleted scenes from the “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1," reports Movieweb. In the first scene Katniss Everdeen will be seen having a hot discussion with her counsellor Haymitch about Peeta and in another scene Katniss is shown undergoing a hideous make-up job when Effie comes to her rescue and tries to save her. Effie tells Katniss that she is the “face of the revolution.” Meanwhile, the bonus footage will also feature the script adaptation and the set design process, reports Coming Soon.

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1” was released on Nov 21, 2014. It stared Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland. The film is a sequel to “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” It showed Katniss turning into a symbol of mass rebellion. She founds herself in District 9 after surviving two hunger games. In “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1,” Katniss tries to save Peeta. The film was nominated in two categories at the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award. It earned d$336 million in North America and was the sixth highest grossing film of 2014.

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1” will be followed by “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2.” Lawrence who plays the role Katniss in the film said to Interview magazine that she is not happy with the series coming to an end. "We just have one scene to do for the end, I'm not happy about it at all," she said according to Interview magazine. “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2” is scheduled to be release on Nov 20, 2015.
