Ian Somerhalder of "Vampire Diaries" recently appeared in Orlando, Florida (FL) for a "Vampire Diaries" convention there. Somerhalder was with co-actor Paul Wesley and answered a few questions from fans. Somerhalder also shared a few tidbits about his life and experiences including getting marriage proposals from fans and random people.

Somerhalder, who recently turned 35 on Dec. 8, 2013, told the story to the people at the convention and a lot of them laughed upon hearing it.

"You do not want to be married to me. Trust me. I'm a workaholic. I'm never home," Somerhalder said during the "Vampire Diaries" Orlando convention.

"I have eight animals...Yeah, they're adorable, but what 'til you're living with them...there's five of them and they're 25 pounds each...their turds are about the size of this microphone. I mean, it's all day everyday."

"No, by the way, they're the most beautiful creatures I've ever known," he added.

Paul Wesley joined in on the jokes and quipped one of his own.

"I thought I was the most beautiful creature you've ever known," said Wesley, who was sitting beside Somerhalder.

"Well, you're one of them," Ian replied, while stroking Wesley's cheek.

Somerhalder continued poking fun on him and Wesley.

"This is why you don't want to be married to either one of us," he said.

Ian Somerhalder plays vampire Damon Salvatore on the hit CW show "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD). On the other hand, Paul Wesley plays Stefan Salvatore, Damon's brother.

Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena Gilbert, the object of Damon and Stefan Salvatore's affections, was not on hand to witness the Salvatore brothers' camaraderie off cam. Dobrev is busy preparing for Christmas and was recently decorating a Christmas tree with good friend actress and dancer Julianne Hough.
