The "Sin City" actress also revealed her entrepreneurial side to the magazine and talked about her venture The Honest Company, a brand that sells nontoxic household, health care, baby and beauty products online. Alba considers her business a "legacy" that she hopes to leave her daughters, Honor, 6, and Haven, 3 with. She believes having an "honest" brand is her biggest achievement in life so far and says she is extremely proud of it.
"Having a company that's making the world a better place is a life calling. Performing has also been a life calling, but they're so different. It takes a completely different side of my brain to do one versus the other. But I'm truly very proud of The Honest Company," told Jessica to Glam Belleza Latina magazine.
The glamorous actress started this company two years ago when she accidentally discovered a severe allergic reaction to a baby laundry detergent. The actress told the magazine that she was shocked to discover the amount of toxic substances used in the baby products and that is when she decided to make her own brand that uses all natural products for babies and elders too.
Alba considers fellow Latin beauty Jennifer Lopez as her idol and said that she is inspired by the way she has achieved so much in life. "I looked up to Jennifer Lopez. She is someone who broke through barriers, a powerhouse. You know: I could be a dancer, singer, actress, entrepreneur-I can do all of it," revealed Alba to the magazine.
The gorgeous actress also opened up about her life and growing up years. She was brought up and influenced by her mother and grandmother, both of whom loved make up and dressing up. Alba told the magazine that her mother would never leave the house barefaced and experimented a lot with colour while her grandmother would use lipstick as a blush on too.
