British-Indian actress Katrina Kaif once again managed to top the list of the Sexiest Asian Women in the world. This is the fourth time she has achieved such a feat, while she has been among the top three names in the last six years.

Katrina Kaif seems to personify a bizarre melting pot of diversified cultures. She was born in Hong Kong as Katrina Turquotte to a British mother, Susanna Turquotte, who is a Christian, while her father is a British Muslim with Indian origins. She moved to China and Japan with her family. She reached France at the age of 8. She travelled many other European countries like Poland, Belgium and Germany pretty early in her life. She, being a British citizen, works in India with an employment visa.

Katrina's closest competitors in the list were Indian actress Priyanka Chopra (former Miss World) who finished second in the list. Indian movie sensation Drashti Dhami and actress Deepika Padukone finished third and fourth, respectively.

Katrina is more overjoyed about her record because it is compiled by Eastern Eye, a U.K.-based news magazine. The newspaper is read by one of her sisters in London, she said. Katrina has made a point by saying that people happen to be more influenced by her public image of beauty. If they voted for her after seeing her in regular life, she would have been more convinced. Nevertheless, it is 'flattering' to be named as the sexiest woman in Asia, she said.

Shraddha Kapoor, another Indian actress, became the highest new entry after her film 'Aashiqui 2' became successful. Humaima Malick was the highest Pakistani name in the list, while the only other non-resident Indian entry in the list is actress Noureen DeWulf, who is known for her role in Anger Management. The oldest names in the list were Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi. They ruled the India movie business in the 1980s and the 1990s, respectively.

Katrina must be going through a magnificent time as her upcoming film Dhoom 3 (to be released on December 20) is one of the much awaited movies of the year. Meanwhile, she has also been signed for L'Oreal as their brand ambassador.
