Kelly Clarkson got on stage to introduce legendary country singer Reba McEntire before presenting her award during the Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday night. Clarkson told the audience at the AT&T Stadium at Dallas, Texas that McEntire was “the coolest mother-in-law.”

The “Stronger” singer was given the great honor of introducing the 13-time ACM awardee, who also happened to be her mother-in-law, and used the opportunity to show that not all in-laws are at odds with each other. "I never could have imagined when I was at the ACMs nine years ago, and I yelled backstage to Reba, 'I want to be you when I grow up!' that one day, we would not only become friends...but in the most crazy twist of fate, she would become my family,” Clarkson said, as quoted by Us Weekly.

The 60-year-old Mc Entire was honored with a Milestone Award for being the ACMs’ top-winning female vocalist, having previously won 13 ACM awards, and for hosting the show 14 times in the last years. She recently appeared on NBC’s “The Voice” as a celebrity mentor, and has had one of the most successful careers in the music scene of all time.

Clarkson’s introduction speech was rewarded with enthusiastic cheers from the crowd, and Clarkson could not help but add, “So basically what I'm saying here, people, is that I have the coolest mother-in-law, and you all can suck it!” The audience applauded some more as the highly-acclaimed “Consider Me Gone” singer stepped up stage to receive her award.

Clarkson got engaged to McEntire’s stepson Brandon Blackstock back in December 2012 and later tied the knot in October 2013 at Blackberry Farms in Tennessee. According to People, the “Invincible” singer described her wedding dress as one that would match her personality. “A little rock 'n' roll. A little tattered. Nothing like a princess thing!," she said. Blackstock had two children, Savannah and Seth, from his previous marriage, and had River Rose with Clarkson in June last year.
