Maria Sharapova has arrived in Singapore ahead of the 45th edition of the WTA Finals taking place this weekend until Nov. 1. Sharapova previously tweeted her social media followers that she was on her way to the Asian nation.

“On my way Singapore,” Sharapova wrote on Twitter. “Little piece of luxury on the @SingaporeAir suit, watched Entre Amis+ comfy bed time #FlySQ.”

This marks the eighth time that Sharapova has qualified for the season-ending championships in women’s tennis. She was the third player to qualify in the $7 million (AU$ 9.6 million) BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.

After her semifinal loss to Williams at the All England Club, Sharapova played her first match at the 2015 Wuhan Open. However, she was forced to retire during her opening match against Barbora Strykova due to a left forearm injury. Sharapova was supposed to compete next at the 2015 China Open, but she decided to pull out to keep her body healthy for Singapore.

Meanwhile, five players are still on the run for the final three spots at the WTA Finals. Serena Williams and Simona Halep previously qualified to compete, but the American tennis star had announced her withdrawal from the tournament. Halep, on the other hand, was the first player to arrive in Singapore. Wimbledon finalist Garbine Muguruza and Agnieszka Radwanska also qualified for Singapore tournament.

According to WTA, the final three spots will be determined this week between Angelique Kerber, Lucie Safarova, reigning US Open champion Flavia Pennetta, Carla Suarez-Navarro, and Karolina Pliskova.

The players are currently contesting for the 2015 Kremlin Cup title in Moscow aside from Kerber, who withdrew due to non-acute back pain. Kerber will seal her place in Singapore if Suarez-Navarro, who will play Pliskova in the opener, loses. If Suarez-Navarro and Pliskova get eliminated on Tuesday, the final three spots will be given to Kerber, Safarova, and Pennetta. The Road to Singapore will be decided based on the results of the Moscow tournament.
