Penile Implant

The Republican debate of presidential hopefuls brought to fore again the issue of penis length after Marco Rubio commented on the small hands of Donald Trump, who insisted he is well-endowed when it comes to his manhood.

Trump and his wife may be satisfied with his size, but other males are not so lucky when it comes to that vital part of their body. Men who fall short of what is perceived standard – which is about 5 to 6 inches length – could go to a Beverly Hills clinic and undergo a procedure that adds about two inches each in length and girth to their genital, reports the New York Post.

It involves the use of a firmer form of silicone similar to what is found in breast implants. Dr James Elist, a urologist, invented the device which he custom trims to the size of a man’s private part. The 270-degree tube is made of very soft silicone and shaped like the penis from the base to the head.

He makes a small cut in the groin and inserts the device which immediately increases the penis by two inches in girth and length. Elist explains, “If you were 3 inches flaccid and 5 inches erect, 3 goes to 5 and 5 goes to 6 on average.” He adds the weight from the implant would stretch the penis by about half-inch after two or three years.

The procedure, which costs about $13,000 (AUD$17,333), takes about one hour. Elist says there would be a bit of swelling, but the bandage would be removed after one day.

Jason, a 35-year-old resident of Manhattan, whose girlfriend of six years broke up with him in May 2014 because she was not satisfied with his size, underwent the procedure. After the bandage was removed, “I looked down and had an out-of-body experience,” he recalls.

“I was speechless. It was as large soft as it has previously been hard. It just hung down. All I could think about was what my ex would have said,” Jason shares.

However, seeing a bigger genital is not an excuse to use it right away, or men who underwent the procedure could risk complications. Elist recommends waiting for four weeks before having sex, which Jason waited two months. Three months after having sex with his new girlfriend, he was engaged to be married to the satisfied woman.

Elist is waiting for approval by the US Food and Drug Administration to train New York City surgeons on the procedure. In his Web site, Elist points out that patients who seek solutions to having a small organ often have “a distorted view of what they actually have.” On some instances, that perception is a manifestation of underlying feelings of inadequacy which, in general, the solution is not an implant but psychological counseling which could prove helpful.
