"The Originals" Season 2 focus is currently on the Mikaelson family with the arrival of hybrid baby Hope and the return of vampire hunter Mikael (Sebastian Roché) and Original witch Esther (Alice Evans). However, the latest details coming from executive producer Michael Narducci tease that there are other characters to watch out for.

In Season 1, Davina (Danielle Campbell) was the secret weapon that Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) locked up in the church attic. The upcoming second season will have the tables turned with the powerful young witch finally having a secret weapon that will make her powerful and controlling.

The Season 1 finale showed Davina bringing Mikael Mikaelson back from the dead but she decided to control the vampire hunter and wait for the perfect moment to use her secret weapon against her enemy, Original hybrid Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

"With access to the most dangerous weapon, monster, destroyer, ever, people are going to get interested in what she has. People are going to start to come after her and she's going to decide how she wants to use this great power that she has," executive producer Michael Narducci explained in the Zap2it report.

The executive producer teased that Davina must carefully figure out her next move because she cannot just send Mikael to kill Klaus because all of the vampires sired to the Original hybrid, including her good friend Josh (Steven Krueger), will die. Narducci revealed that everyone wants to find out where Davina is and what the young witch is up to because she has Mikael and the white oak stake.

"Everyone will be after her for a while. How she responds to that is going to be a big arc for her character, to grow up and take responsibility for her actions," Narducci further teased. With the mention of Josh, Michael Narducci was asked what is in store for the gay vampire character.

According to the executive producer, Josh will have a couple of great scenes in "The Originals" Season 2 with Davina, Marcel and Cami (Leah Pipes). There is also a possibility for the vampire character to have a love interest in the new season of the CW spinoff series.

Another thing that Michael Narducci is excited about involves the return of Mikael and Esther as well as Finn Mikaelson which will be played up in "The Originals" Season 2. The executive producer thinks the complex family reunion and connection of the Mikaelsons in the brand new season will be fun to watch.

In the Wet Paint report, executive producer Julie Plec has revealed the premiere episode title of "The Originals" Season 2 which is "Rebirth." The episode title indicates the characters will be starting their lives over particularly Klaus, who must deal with the separation from his daughter Hope, and Hayley, who will be dealing with her new hybrid status.

Julie Plec further revealed in the TVLine report the story behind the premiere episode title. "Every title we use, we try to make it a song title from New Orleans or an artist from New Orleans. Rebirth is one of the best brass bands in New Orleans, and they were in our pilot. We've been waiting to use that title for 22 episodes," Plec shared.

"The Originals" Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Monday night, Oct 6, at 8 pm ET/PT on the CW Network.
