“Pitch Perfect” star Anna Kendrick recently expressed her interest to play as a superhero in any of Marvel or DC’s future films. The actress also shared who she wants to play as the new Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot.

Anna Kendrick was asked when she would be playing as a superhero during an exclusive interview with Collider about “Pitch Perfect 2.” The actress didn’t hesitate when she replied that she’d grab the role right away when the opportunity is presented. “When someone asks me? I’ll do it the second some asks, I promise,” she said.

Kendrick, who returns as Beca in “Pitch Perfect 2,” also shared who she thought would be the next actor to play as the new Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot. The actress was told to pick who among the two rumoured contenders, Tom Holland (“The Impossible”) and Asa Butterfield (“Enders Game”), would best fit the role of Spider-Man. After admitting to having no knowledge of who the young stars are, Anna Kendrick was instead asked to make her own choice and name an actor who is between the ages of 16 and 21. Kendrick replied, “How old is Quvenzhané Wallis?”

Apparently, Anna Kendrick was only joking when she mentioned Quvenzhané Wallis as the new Peter Parker. The actress wouldn’t exactly fit the role of Spider-Man but perhaps as Spider-Woman, if Marvel and Sony ever decides to make the movie. The 11-year-old also wouldn’t pass the age requirement for the "Spider-Man" reboot.

A comic book Reddit forum previously discussed which superhero/comic-movie Anna Kendrick can be cast. The responses were varied. One user thought the actress would pass as the modern version of Kitty Pryde from Marvel’s “X-Men.” While others thought she could portray either of the DC characters Red Rose from “Fables” or as Barbara Gordon from Batman, who is otherwise known as Batgirl or as Oracle.

During the same Collider interview, Anna Kendrick also praised the first “Avengers” movie and admitted to not having seen “Avengers: Age of Ultron” yet. Talking about the first “Avengers” film she said, “As summer blockbusters go, it was perfect.”
