‘Scream Queens’ season 2 update: Taylor Lautner’s possible love triangle with Emma Roberts and Lea Michele
Taylor Lautner is a highly anticipated new character on “Scream Queens” season 2, and it seems that his role will add trouble to the Chanels. Gathering hints from the show’s cast, Dr. Cassidy Cascade, the character played by Lautner, will most likely have to do with Chanel No. 1 (Emma Roberts) and Chanel No. 6 (Lea Michele).
On his recent posts on Instagram, Lautner teased fans with behind-the-scene images of the “Scream Queens” cast. Lautner also shared a video clip during the cast photo shoot featuring himself and a few of the actors including Keke Palmer, who plays Zayday, Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Cathy, and newbie John Stamos, who plays Lautner’s fellow doctor Brock Holt.
Among one of the “Twilight” actor’s post showed Emma Roberts and Lea Michele standing side by side him, as both actresses were wrapped in the actor’s arms. The promotional photo adds up to the hints that Lautner’s character could wreak havoc in the lives of the two Chanels as they both encounter the mysterious doctor. Whether it’s because they’re romantically or psychopathically involved with him is yet to be known.
Roberts previously hinted on “Watch What Happens Live” that she’s getting a new love interest in the upcoming season. The actress confessed to host Andy Cohen that her character, the queen of Kappa Kappa Tau, is going to have some love affair with one of the newcomers. From the looks of Lautner’s recent post, it seems Dr Cassidy will likely be Chanel Oberlin’s new love interest to go against Chad Radwell (Glen Powell). (Click here for the related story.)
On the other hand, it’s not the first photo where Michele is seen together with Lautner on set. In fact, it’s the actress who was the first to tease fans with an Instagram post about Taylor coming to “Scream Queens.” Michele captioned her post saying, “the doctor is in,” as she looked comfortably close with Lautner in the photo. It appears the 29-year-old actress is spending a lot of time with Lautner on set and it could be because her character is closely associated with the “Twilight” actor’s.
There is no official statement from the actors yet on how their characters will be associated on “Scream Queens” season 2. For now, what’s for sure is that the upcoming season of Fox’s horror comedy will take place in a hospital setting.
“Scream Queens” season 2 is slated to premiere on Sep. 20 on FOX in the US. The show airs on Network Ten in Australia.
