“Scream: The TV Series” executive producer Jill Blotevogel and cast member Bex Taylor-Klaus tease about the storyline of character Audrey Jensen in the second season of the MTV series. The pilot season’s finale episode has implied that Audrey is the Ghostface killer’s accomplice in the Lakewood murders.

Emma Duvall (Willa Fitzgerald) has found out in “Scream: The TV Series” finale episode titled “Revelations” that podcaster Piper Shaw (Amelia Rose Blaire) was the Ghostface killer and her half-sister. However, Emma is still unaware that the Ghostface killer had an accomplice and the person is none other than her friend Audrey.

“We know Piper is the confessed killer at the end of season one, but we are leaving a world of possibilities open in terms of Audrey’s involvement,” Blotevogel said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR).

The show’s executive producer added that it is safe to assume Audrey was behind the Ghostface killer mask during the attack on Piper and Will Belmont, played by Connor Weil, at an abandoned building in the sixth episode titled “Betrayed.” However, Blotevogel teased that there is no concrete evidence Audrey has committed anything illegal.

Blotevogel also admitted that she is looking forward to explore on Audrey in “Scream: The TV Series” Season 2 because the character has a darkness that the viewers can relate to like being bullied and picked on. “Digging into her character and her involvement, when the people around her start figuring out things, it’s going to bring up some really tough situations,” Blotevogel added.

In an interview with SheKnows, Bex Taylor-Klaus teased that there will be definitely more to the story that has been set up in “Scream: The TV Series.” Taylor-Klaus confirmed that the fans will still see the same cast members that survived the Lakewood murders when the MTV horror series returns with season 2.

“There's a lot going on with everybody, but definitely with Audrey after that whole anger video came out,” Taylor-Klaus teased about her character. MTV has renewed “Scream: The TV Series” last July for a second season and the horror series is scheduled to return for more shocking story twists in 2016.
