Fans of “The Sims 4” have been waiting for the planned expansion pack following the Outdoor Retreat game pack released last month. But following the discovery of resourceful fans of a trailer on the Norwegian Sims YouTube channel, the developer has now announced the release of the official Get to Work Expansion Pack.

In a press release sent to International Business Times Australia, EA has announced “The Sims 4” Get to Work Expansion Pack, which is currently being developed for both the PC and Mac. According to the official statement, the expansion allows players to choose any jobs involving saving lives, creating things as scientists, investigating crimes or being entrepreneurs and business people.

This is in line with the leaked trailer (now translated and official, as seen below), which shows doctors, medical technicians, crime forensics personnel, angry cops, prisoners in orange jumpsuits, mad scientists and employees in cafeterias and boutique shops, as reported by Load the Game.

That’s a lot of professions that fans can delve into. But also a lot of new gameplay and hours for “The Sims 4.” Over at the The Sims AU Blog, the dev has also delved into the features. When choosing to be a doctor, you can deliver babies and perform surgeries.

Those who want to combat crime can interrogate and arrest criminals, as well as rise up the police ranks. Finally, scientists can go all crazy with inventions—but the twist is you can either be a good scientist who builds helpful creations or a truly mad one who can create objects of torture and torment.

There’s even the feature where you would be discovering aliens that walk among humans. And it’s your job to discover the alien dimension in “The Sims 4” Get to Work expansion.

As an added bonus, and in lieu of the 15th year anniversary that “The Sims” is currently celebrating, the team behind the game has shared with fans some of the rare pieces that they have conjured for the Build Mode. It appears that Build Mode was, at its core concept, based on rooms for a more intuitive and fluid experience in building.

Those who have been playing “The Sims 4” already know what the Build Mode is for, and those who are active in the community probably have tried a couple of exciting activities for themselves using the mode. However, Build Mode designer Aaron Houts shared in the EA Blog that there was one feature that did not make the cut, it was the automated door-placement system.

According to Houts, this feature would automatically know when two rooms are placed next to each other. Because of that, doors will be automatically placed. The downside is that the system does not necessarily present as well in action, leaving players with more doors than what they would know what to do with. In any case, Build Mode can be considered a success, if the community and all their creations from it are to be the basis.

“That was the whole point of what we wanted to accomplish with ‘The Sims 4’ Build Mode: create a system which empowers players to be as creative as possible,” said Houts in the blog. The link above shows a few concept art and designs of houses and decorations for “The Sims 4.”
