Best known for her character as Adriana la Cerva on HBO's drama "The Sopranos," Drea de Matteo is reprising her role as Wendy Cash on FX biker drama series "Sons of Anarchy." The Emmy award-winning actress was interviewed recently during the Motor City Comic Con and was asked about her thoughts on show's finale and her time working with SOA matriarch Katey Sagal.

De Matteo's role in "The Sopranos" was one of her earliest role that helped her launched her career and the show also paved the way for "Sons of Anarchy" to thrive on TV. One of the most talked about shows on TV, Drea's role on HBO's series made her a household name and was asked during her interview her experience on the show.

"It was a whirlwind, we didn't even know what was happening," she revealed during an interview with Evan Jankens of the 97.1 FM posted on cbslocal.com. "It was a first show on cable to really explode. We have set the mold for shows like "Sons of Anarchy," we paved the way for them. So it's exciting to be a part of history in that way."

She also revealed that the show's ending is perfect and thinks that the director created a blank canvas so fans can have their own ending. The 42-year-old star was also asked how it feels like working with Katey Sagal who is known for her character as Peg Bundy in "Married... With Children."

"I was a huge "Married With Children" fan but I don't see her as Peg Bundy coz we are in a whole other realm over there," she added. "She's this you know tough a** b****, ain't no Peg Bundy there."

Aside from her roles in two of drama series, the Italian American actress is also known for role as Angie Bolen on ABC's "House Housewives" and Joey Tribbiani's sister Gina on the NBC sitcom "Joey." On her final season with "Sons of Anarchy," Drea was promoted as a series regular and her role as Jax's ex-wife will have a bigger exposure now that Tara is dead.

"Sons of Anarchy" season 7 is set to premiere on FX in September.
