'Spider-Man' Reboot Casting: Tom Holland Shows Why He Best Fits The Role Of Peter Parker
Tom Holland is reportedly among the final two contenders vying for the role of Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot. While Marvel has yet to officially announce who the next web crawler will be, the young actor has been showing his athletic skills on social media, showing just how he could become the new Spider-Man.
Tom Holland took to his Instagram page recently to showcase his flipping skills. The 19-year-old has posted a trio of videos demonstrating how he’s taking the time to perfect his jump flip. The actor also made use of the app’s slow-motion feature to showcase his skill.
Holland captioned the first video “fun fun fun” and it has since received over two thousand likes since he posted it on June 21. In the footage the actor could be seen doing a forward flip. The second clip shows him doing a side flip and Holland captioned it, “More fun more fun.” In the third video captioned "bored," the Spider-Man hopeful is seen practicing on his back flip.
Tom Holland previously fuelled speculations he’s been chosen for the Peter Parker role in the “Spider-Man” reboot. The young star shared his photo on Instagram where it shows him somewhere in a golf club. According to Deadline, the photo was taken while Holland was in Atlanta, coincidentally where “Captain America: Civil War” has been filming in the past weeks.
The new Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man will make a cameo appearance in “Captain America: Civil War.” The sequel will mark the character’s debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe before he appears in the 2017 “Spider-Man” reboot.
Whether Tom Holland will be chosen as the next Peter Parker is still uncertain. However, Marvel is reportedly in a rush to find the actor who can portray as the teenaged and high school web crawler, considering his cameo appearance in the 2016 film “Captain America: Civil War.”
Apart from Tom Holland, Charlie Rowe is also rumoured to be frontrunner for the role of Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot. Young actors Matthew Lintz and Charlie Plummer are reportedly also in the running for the title role.
