The search for the new Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot will soon come to an end. According to a report, the name of the actor who will portray the web crawler will be revealed soon.

Sony and Marvel may reportedly soon unveil who they’ve chosen to play as the teenaged Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot. Four young actors have remained as contenders for the role including Matthew Lintz, Charlie Plummer, and Tom Holland and Charlie Rowe, rumoured to be the front-runners. According to Deadline, the studios will soon announce their choice since the “decision could come next week.”

However, Tom Holland may have just recently fuelled his involvement with the “Spider-Man” reboot. The actor shared a photo on his Instagram page showing he’s somewhere in a golf club. Per Deadline Holland was coincidentally also in Atlanta where “Captain America: Civil War” has been filming for the past weeks. His photo has received over one thousand likes since he posted it on June 14.

One user named rattlesnakejakegaming thought it was not a coincidence that Tom Holland was also in the same location where “Captain America: Civil War” is being produced. But according to user sam_edwards_ftw, it just so happens that Marvel was holding the auditions for the new Peter Parker role in Atlanta so it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s got the part already since “all the actors were there” too.

The new Spider-Man will make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Captain America: Civil War.” The web crawler will reportedly first make a cameo appearance in the 2016 film before he stars in the 2017 “Spider-Man” reboot. So it would be understandable for the studios to be on a rush to find its new Peter Parker.

Whether Marvel and Sony will indeed make their decision next week is still uncertain. However, according to Comic Book Movie, it’s worth noting that Deadline is a reliable source of information. So their report still supposedly suggests that the wait to know who the new Peter Parker in the “Spider-Man” reboot will be will soon be over.
