'Star Wars: Episode 8' production update: Filming wraps; Big party in London with cast and crew
Filming of “Star Wars: Episode 8” wrapped earlier than expected, and the cast and crew had a big party in London to mark the completion. The director and some of the cast members shared pictures from the event.
Director Rian Johnson got the fans excited by sharing a picture of the venue of the party, but didn’t say anything. Some of the fans were confused about what the picture was about. The clarity came when he shared another picture from the same location, and this time words were not needed to explain that it was a party.

Lead cast member John Boyega (Finn) shared a picture from before the party started. This is the second wrap party of the franchise that the actor is attending, but he described the experience to be “surreal.” He said that being involved with these movies was “life changing.”

“As I go onto other movies I take with me great memories!” Boyega wrote in his post, leading to some concern that Finn will die in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” The actor thanked all the fans who supported him and encouraged him. He said that his new life was “tricky to take in,” but it was nice to have people supporting him.
The party was also attended by Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron). The actor shared a few photos of selfies from the event.

Perhaps the one cast member who enjoyed taking selfies the most at the party was Mark Hamill. He also shared a few pictures from the event. The actor said that the fans spent a lot of time apologising to him before taking a picture, but the gracious actor said that that was not necessary as he loves selfies.

Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) said that the “Star Wars: Episode 8” wrap party was the “best” one this year. He said that he had just as much fun at the party as he had while filming the movie.
