John Boyega’s Finn in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will once again humour fans in “Star Wars: Episode VIII.” However, some changes are bound to happen with the character. Boyega teased in a recent interview that he will have more action scenes. He also revealed a few details about the theme of the sequel.

In an interview with Vogue UK, Boyega revealed that his character will be very different in “Star Wars: Episode VIII” compared with that in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” He didn’t actually give specifics, but he teased that Finn will be engaging in more battle scenes in the sequel.

“My part in the next film will be much more physical, so I might be in the gym a bit more,” he said, after revealing that he didn’t really do “huge regime” workouts for his “energetic scenes” in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

In the same interview with Vogue UK, Boyega also teased what fans could expect to see from “Star Wars: Episode VIII.” When asked about the script, the actor said that it is “great” and that it is “much darker” than “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” However, the actor didn’t go into details. As what he told the interviewer, he’s “back to keeping secrets again.”

Daisy Ridley, Boyega’s co-star in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” also loved the script. In an interview with Variety, the actress also described the script for the sequel as “very good.” Ridley will reprise her role as Rey in “Star Wars: Episode VIII.”

Filming for the sequel reportedly takes place at Skellig Michael Island. The story will pick up from where “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” ended, when Rey finally meets Luke Skywalker face-to-face.

Aside from minor filming location and cast details, very few information have been revealed about the sequel. Joining Boyega and Ridley in the film will be Carrie Fisher (General Leia) and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker). Unlike his cameo appearance in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Hamill will have more screen time and a major role to play in “Star Wars: Episode VIII.”
