“Teen Wolf” Season 5 recently added a new name to the list of recurring characters in the supernatural MTV series. The fans will be seeing “NCIS” actress Marisol Nichols in the upcoming “Teen Wolf” Season 5 episodes as an important recurring character. “Teen Wolf” Season 5 airs on Monday nights at 10/9c on MTV.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “Teen Wolf” Season 5 spoilers.

TVLine exclusively reports that Marisol Nichols, 41, has been cast as Malia’s mom, who is also known as “The Desert Wolf.” However, the details on Nichols’ debut appearance in “Teen Wolf” Season 5 as the dangerous supernatural creature are being kept under wraps.

The flashforward scenes in the premiere episode of “Teen Wolf” Season 5 showed that Malia Tate, played by Shelley Hennig, will finally meet her biological mother in Beacon Hills. In “Teen Wolf” Season 4, Malia found out that Peter Hale, played by Ian Bohen, is her biological father.

However, the premiere episode’s flashforward scene featuring Malia hinted that her encounter with “The Desert Wolf” will be unpleasant. Malia will be searching for more answers involving her biological mother in the upcoming episodes, especially after Malia remembered in the episode titled “A Novel Approach” that it was “The Desert Wolf” who caused the car accident when she was a little girl.

The car accident resulted in the death of Malia’s adoptive mother and sister. Malia searches for her mother in the beginning of “Teen Wolf” Season 5, but her quest was put on hold because the new villains called “The Dread Doctors” arrived in Beacon Hills.

Malia currently helps Scott McCall, played by Tyler Posey, and the rest of the pack in finding a way to stop the Dread Doctors. In the previous episode titled “Strange Frequencies,” Scott’s pack tried to capture one of the Dread Doctors but their plan failed.

The Dread Doctors still managed to get their hands on chimera Hayden Romero, played by Victoria Moroles, with Liam Dunbar, played by Dylan Sprayberry, in tow. Scott will be saving Liam and Hayden from the Dread Doctors in the next episode titled “Ouroboros,” which will air on MTV on August 10.
