Warning: Spoilers Alert!

AMC shared two sneak peek videos and a promo to tease fans what they can expect in “The Walking Dead” Season 5, episode 16, “Conquer.” In the first sneak peek, Maggie is seen talking to Reg and Deanna. Maggie wants to talk to Deanna about the meeting regarding Rick tonight. She tells Maggie that she wants to talk to the people what happened and what should be the next step.

Maggie is by Rick’s side and she tells her that if she is thinking about exiling Rick then it is not going to work. Maggie reminds her that she was the one who asked the survivors to come in. By giving the authority to people, who may not know the complete story, to decide Rick’s fate is unfair. Reg mentions that the meeting is to let people share their views about the incident. Deanna tells her that she is one who will take a call. Maggie states that Rick has gone through a lot in the past.

Deanna reminds her that Rick pointed the gun at the people. However, Maggie tells them that he didn’t hurt anyone. Reg intervenes and says that Michonne stopped him. Deanna tells her that she will do what has to be done.

The second sneak peek released by AMC shows Carol and Pete. In the video, she comes with a dish and sees Pete. When Pete tells her to get out of the house, Carol puts a knife to his throat and threatens to kill her.

In an interview with Yahoo, Melissa McBride explains why Carol would not kill Pete. The actress says that Carol and Rick have mutual respect for each other now.

“Also, Rick is the law in Alexandria now, and if it came to that, to killing Pete, he would be the one who should do it. Plus, she’s Carol the Cookie Lady,” Melissa says.
