Air date for “Wentworth” season 5 remains a mystery, and yet fans can’t stop talking about what the next instalment has to offer. Fans are hoping to see Bea (Danielle Cormack) when the series returns. The upcoming instalment is also expected to answer why (Vera) Kate Atkinson allowed her to escape in the season 4 finale.

It is likely that Vera has conspired with The Freak (Pamela Rabe) to kill Bea. Rabe has revealed that her character and Vera both have a lot of dirt on each other, and some fans assume that killing Bea is one of them, said a Perth Now interview.

In relation to Bea’s shocking demise, “Wentworth” season 5 may introduce someone to take her place as the new top dog. It is most likely that Joan will be successful in her aim to obtain the position, as it was her intent for killing Bea in the first place.

But she may also need to deal with the consequences of murdering Smith, which means there could be a different top dog. Franky Doyle (Nicole da Silva) and Vera Bennett (Kate Atkinson) are also eligible candidates for the top dog post.

As for Bea’s appearance in “Wentworth” season 5, Reddit user named the_merry_pom theorised that the next season will start with a relatively blank canvas. The Redditor thinks that if the character is truly gone, she may no longer have any screen time. If writers will address this concern, there is a possibility that “Wentworth” season 5 may see Bea in a flashback to narrate what happened between her and Vera before she was murdered

Cormack’s character being out of the show was already confirmed by producer Jo Porter. He said it is a tough decision to bid goodbye to a beloved character like her. “Which is why this storyline has had such a huge impact on us all and we are sure fans will feel the same,” he said.

Porter added that the decision was particularly hard as it also meant saying goodbye to Danielle Cormack. “Wentworth” airs on SoHo in Australia. Air date for its fifth season is yet to be announced.
