Jesinta Campbell is already happy being the new face and body of Wonderbra, but brassiere companies didn’t always scramble for her endorsement. In fact, a deal with a rival brand had collapsed in 2011 when it found out that the former Miss Universe Australia had had breast enlargement procedure.

According to Confidential, lingerie brand Bendon met with Campbell in 2011 to ask her to be its ambassador for their push-up style bras. However, it withdrew its offer when they found out about Ms Campbell’s plastic surgery past.

The brand apparently discovered that she had done breast augmentation procedure during the fitting. Fortunately, the fitting was held before their contract signing.

The bra that Ms Campbell was supposed to front was reportedly from Bendon’s Pleasure State line.

“Bendon had another girl lined up and that fell over in August or September 2011 and they wanted a meet and greet with Jesinta,” her agent Sharon Finnigan said. “We met with them, they agreed she’d be good for their brand, but it never proceeded.”

Wonderbra doesn’t seem to mind that Ms Campbell has had her breasts increase from AA cups to B.

Earlier in July, the 21-year-old beauty queen, who won the Miss Congeniality title and became second runner-up at the 2010 Miss Universe pageant, admitted that she had the operation when she was just a teenager.

“It’s a personal choice and completely up to the individual,” she told The Sunday Telegraph. “When I was young I had a small procedure done to become a 12B.”

She regretted the operation, though, saying that she would make a different decision if possible.

But Wonderbra doesn’t mind that her breasts already had a little help from plastic surgery.

“We didn’t even notice; she let us know,” a spokesman for the brand told the paper. “And it didn’t change our mind one bit.”

Wonderbra is relaunching in Australia through Big W. The company insisted that Ms Campbell is the perfect ambassador to front the brand.

“We wanted to launch with someone who had the attributes of the brand – intelligent, confident, and fun – and Jesinta was the perfect fit for it.

“We used our standard size 12B bras in the photo shoot and she fitted those perfectly. She’s a fantastic ambassador and we’re happy to be partnering up with her.”
