Spanish Football Federation's director of football Jorge Perez claims that manager Vicente del Bosque still has their backing in spite of suffering two successive losses in the World Cup that will lead to an early exit.

"From top to bottom in the federation we are all behind Del Bosque," he said over a Spanish radio interview.

"If he does resign, we will try to convince him to stay."

La Roja still have a game to play - against Australia - and Perez said that it won't be after that match that the former Real Madrid boss' future will be decided.

"We still haven't spoken with Del Bosque, it's better to put a bit of distance between us and wait and then speak calmly in Madrid," he added.
"His family might convince him to leave, but we aren't going to find anyone better."
