13-Year-Old Brit Boy Isn’t The Father Of Newborn Baby, DNA Tests Confirm
In 2012, Alfie Patten, a 13-year-old British boy, though he broke UK records by becoming the country's youngest father after Chantelle Steadman, his 15-year-old girlfriend, gave birth to a baby girl.

However, DNA tests proved he wasn't, breaking young Alfie's heart instead.
The infant, Maisie Roxanne, was supposed to be the result of a one-time unprotected sex between the very young couple. His initial reaction when told by Chantelle that she was pregnant was, "When my mum found out, I thought I was going to get in trouble. We wanted to have the baby but were worried how people would react," the Daniel Azwan blog site quoted Alfie.
He added, "I didn't know what it would be like to be a dad. I will be good though, and care for it."
However, since other boys said they have also had sex with Chantelle, who initially claimed having slept only with Alfie, the 13-year-old had a DNA test after his mum, Nicole, 43, explained to him the procedure and how it would establish his paternity over Maisie whom Alfie adores.
Nicola, who is separated from Alfie's dad, said, quoted by SFGate, "It had not even crossed Alfie's mind whether Chantelle had not been faithful to him. He's absolutely devastated that these lads say they slept with her."
Admittedly, Alfie is not prepared to be a father, not even knowing the cost of a diaper. His dad, 45-year-old Dennis, acknowledges that Alfie "could not fathom the enormity of the birth."
Breaking her silence after two years for the first time on Sunday, Nicola, who insisted that at 15, Alfie is still a virgin, told the Mirror, "He did cry after we found out he wasn't the dad. When we told Alfie the baby wasn't his he was absolutely hysterical. He burst out crying and then he ran out of the room.
Two years after, the incident continues to hound Alfie whose face is on the newspapers whenever there is a story of underage pregnancy or government is talking about sex education. Some condoms being sold on the Internet even has his face on it, which Alfie just shrugs off.
