2012 Mayan Calendar Doomsday Flop: Top 10 Ways to Nurse an End-of-the-World Party Hangover
With all the End-of-the-World parties that happened in different parts of the world on Dec 21, 2012, millions of partygoers surely suffered hangovers as a result of imbibing alcohol to celebrate being alive.
Parties named such as The Last Supper, A Feast for Greek Gods, Galactic Alignment and Cosmic Convergence attracted hundreds of revelers who opted not to believe the Doomsday scenario based on mistaken interpretation of the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar's 13th Baktun as the end of the world.
While by now the hangovers of these partygoers had ended, more Christmas and New Year parties are slated in the coming days as part of the festive Yuletide season.
Here are the top 10 tips on how to nurse hangovers, according to a listing by About.com.

2. Eat fruits and drink vegetable juice and water - To replenish vitamins and liquid lost the night before.
3. Avoid caffeine - If you need your coffee fix, just make a weak cup of coffee.
4. Drink orange juice - For Vitamin C boost.
5. Eat mineral and protein-rich food.
6. Drink pickle juice - This is a common remedy among Polish people.
7. Drink Bloody Mary - Makes your blood deal with new alcohol, which at the same time will make it ignore the old alcohol, while its tomato juice and celery content contain replenishing vitamins.
8. Take a shower - Switch between cold and hot water.
9. Take Alka Seltzer Morning Relief - Recommended by a user who swears that hangover symptoms are gone within 15 minutes.
