History will be made in a search to discover the world's finest junior water polo club team. The inaugural 2013 World Youth Club Water Polo Challenge will take place 'Downunder' in Canberra, Australia's national capital from July 6th - 13th 2013.

The 2013 World Youth Club Challenge is a tournament for players aged 17 and under (born 1996) that will witness 24 male and 24 female water polo clubs and regional teams from throughout the world faceoff to see who will be crowned champions.

This international youth sporting event forms a vital part of the 100-year centenary celebration of the founding of Canberra as Australia's capital city with the tournament being held at the world class Australian Institute of Sport facility.

The Tournament format will be modelled on a rugby 7's draw with teams moving into different divisions after the pool classification matches. Based on pool ranking, teams will then play for the World Youth Challenge Cup, Plate, Shield or Trophy. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of seven matches.
