In this day and age when relationships don't seem to last and the next temptation is just around the corner, romance made in Hollywood are always doomed to an end. 2013 has not been good for these couples and this year forced them put a period in their fairytale romance.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev

Match made in heaven, the Vampire Diaries costars started making rumors when they are spotted bonding together over the Daintree Rainforrest and testing the waters in the Great Barrier Reef. But it was in Sept. 2011 when the two were spotted kissing and getting comfortable in the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards Governor's Ball, although the two did not make any announcement yet. It was in Sept. 2012 when Nina was interviewed by Seventeen magazine contradicting her first statement that she wouldn't date any of her co-stars.

"It's funny that I said that, but you know what? It was honestly what I believed at the time. I didn't want to be dating one of my co-stars - my goal on the show was to be professional. But sometimes you can't help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long - which I did for a really, really long time," says Nina.

May 2013 the two officially ended their secret romance and was confirmed by People magazine on May 9.

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus

The twerky romance of this couple took a nose dive this year and ended ugly after Liam's cheating rumors and Miley running around naked. The four year saga of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth started dating in 2010 when the two was paired in Nicholas Sparks' movie and after a number of breakups the two got engaged in June 2012. But in Aug. of the same year Miley gets a drastic haircut and then things seems to go downhill and rumors are swirling that there is trouble in paradise. Aug. 2012 Miley made a debut of her infamous twerk at the VMAs and released her naked Wrecking Ball video on Sep. 2013 and a few days after the engagement is officially called off, the very next day Liam was caught kissing a girl.

Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart

Unlike Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart doesn't have what takes to make their relationship last and ends their four-year relationship in May 2013. Thanks to Kristin's cheating scandal in summer 2012 with Rupert Sanders, "Snow White" and the "Huntsmen" director, and things started to gone sour that forced the couple to put an end to their love affair and that means Pattinson moving out of their apartment.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez

Jelena's love affair came out of the open for the first time during the Oscar's after party and by June 2011 the couple closed the Armani Exchange store in NYC to shop in private.
