Canadian Eugenie Bouchard and Chinese Li Na are through to the semifinals of the women's singles competition of the 2014 Australian Open. After Wednesday, two more will accompany them in the final four of the first tennis grand slam of the year.

11th seed Simona Halep of Romania faces 20th seed Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia in the first semis match-up and 5th seed Agnieska Radwanska takes on 2nd seed Victoria Azaranka of Belarus later on the day.

Azarenka is now the 2.10 favourite to win the title followed by Li at 2.60 with the elimination of previous favourites in Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
