2014 Billboard Music Awards: When & Where to Watch, Live Stream
The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will be live in a few hours and all eyes will be on this year's red carpet as the biggest names in music arrive with their signature outfits and styles. "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks and Lance Bass are set to host the webcast of the "Samsung Red Carpet LIVE!" live stream show on May 18, 6-8pm ET.
Held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the 2014 Billboard Music Awards will be aired live on ABC at 8:00/7:00 PM central, hosted by rapper/actor Ludacris. This year's awards night will showcase music's hottest and biggest stars on its 3-hour broadcast with powerful performance from Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Robin Thicke, Katy Perry, Lorde and OneRepublic.
Brought by ABC and Dick Clark Productions, tonight's award show is a star studded event with "The Voice" coach Shakira to heat up the stage. "Roar" singer Katy Perry is set to have a "Birthday" party and "Sam & Cat" star Ariana Grande is going to sing away her "Problem" with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.
This year's award is also going to feature the thrilling Michael Jackson experience as fans will going to see the King of Pop "like you never seen him before." The BBMA will also premiere MJ's posthumous album "Xscape," an eight track album that features Jackson's vocals set to new music from John McClain, Stargate, Rodney Jerkins, J-Roc and Timbaland.
Breakout rock sensation Imagine Dragons and Kiwi singer Lorde are dominating this year's BBMA with 12 nominations each. Veteran singer Justin Timberlake received 11 nominations, including Top Radio Song Artist and Top Radio Song for his album "The 20/20 Experience."
Katy Perry has 10 nominations, including Top Female Artist, Hot 100 list and Top Artist with Miley Cyrus, Image Dragons. Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake. Miley Cyris is up next with nine nominations and is scheduled to perform at the BBMA stage, and she is followed by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with eight nominations.
Jennifer Lopez will also grace the award show as the recipient for the Icon Award, a lifetime achievement award that recognizes her remarkable and enduring contribution to the music industry. Lopez will be the first woman to receive the prestigious award and the fourth artist to join the ranks of Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond and Prince.
