Manny Pacquiao might have put himself back in the upper echelon of the boxing world. But his financial standings remain in limbo because of what appears to be a chaos in his camp.

Pacquiao, who is coming off a 12-round unanimous decision win over Brandon Rios on Nov. 12, has been embroiled with dilemma as of late, largely because of his tax issues both in the Philippines and the U.S.

In a recent interview with Fight Hype, Pacman's Legal Representative Frank Gacal surprisingly put the blame on the boxer's adviser Michael Koncz, whom he accused of hiding Pacquiao's contract with Top-Rank.

"The current contract [between Top Rank and Pacquiao] was never shown to me. Mike hid it from me. He did not show the contract to me. He did not inform me. I told Mike, 'You know that it is for the best interest of Manny that no contract should be signed for the moment because apparently that is what Floyd [Mayweather] wants or his condition," Gacal told Fight Hype.

Pacman's lawyer also believed that Koncz should also be held accountable for failing to settle the Filipino boxer's tax issues, stressing the adviser should have hired necessary personnel to get the job done.

"Well, it appears there is really a problem. The IRS is claiming there is a tax deficiency. If there were some mistakes, it was Mike's fault. Why did it happen? They were supposed to have hired accountants."

"At the end of the year, after the filing of the tax returns, all problems should have been solved. If the US still has claims, there should be problems with recording and everything. So this is the point man's fault and that is Mike," Gacal added.

Gacal then dropped a big bomb to close the interview by questioning Koncz's loyalty to the Filipino fighting congressman and exposing what seems to be a conspiracy between the adviser and Top-Rank's big boss Bob Arum.

"Mike looks up to Bob Arum when Pacquiao is done with boxing. When Pacquiao is done, who is he? So he has to maintain his good relations with Bob Arum," Gacal told Edwin Espejo of Rappler.com.

"Manny is a good man. If you show him loyalty and you really work for him, you will be rewarded. Steal from him 10 times and asked for forgiveness once, he will forgive you 11 times," he added.

Termites In Pacman Camp?

Like termites slowly eating the foundation of a house from the inside, Pacquiao is facing serious matter here with his legal representative casting a cloud of doubt on his long-time adviser.

There's no doubt that Pacquiao is one of the most humble and kindest figures in such a brutal sport, but sometimes Pacman needs to take his furious character off the ring to squash all the detractors who have been going in and out of his house.

Pacquiao should solve this chaos inside his camp as soon as possible, or else his retirement party will come sooner than expected.
