The Academy Awards nominations are in and so begin the betting and Twitter reactions about the Oscars controversial nominees. For this year's Best Picture, the Academy Awards have a record of nine films: "Gravity," "Her," "Dallas Buyers Club," "12 Years a Slave," "Philomena," "Nebraska," "American Hustle," "Captain Philips" and "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Film lovers around the globe have taken to Twitter to express their opinions about the news. Team Leo seems to be dominating with a lot of love from Twitter fans for his Best Actor nomination.

"American Hustle" and "Gravity" are the two films dominating the race for the Oscars with 10 nominations each. Steve McQueen's "12 Years a Slave" got nine nods including Best Director.

Notable names like Robert Redford, Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks and talk show mogul Oprah Winfrey are not even nominated for this year's award. Lee Daniel's "The Butler" was shut out of the Oscar race, the reason why the talk host wasn't nominated. But Oprah still has a shot for the Best Actress spot for this weekend's SAG awards.
