Former Disney stars and couple Justine Timberlake and Britney Spears are scheduled to reunite in the upcoming 40th People's Choice Awards to be aired live on Jan. 8 from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

Justine and Britney dated from 1999 to 2002 when they were starting to build their own music careers and each has proven their star quality as they made hits after hits. The "Piece of Me" hitmaker recently praised her ex for being "different and fresh" and a new way to approach music and to encourage people to enjoy it more.

"Bruno Mars is so different and fresh. And Justin Timberlake is, too. It's inspiring for me, and it makes people eager to listen to music, which helps everyone," says Spears in an interview with USA Today. The pop star also named a few artist who inspired her including New Zealand teen sensation Lorde, Beyonce and her controversial friend Miley Cyrus.

After their very public breakup, Justin and Britney have nothing but good things to say to each other and to their respective careers more than a decade after their split. Their mutual admiration to each other is very evident when JT quoted Britney's "It's Britney, Bitch!" line on Twitter, and back in November, Britney mentioned "Holy Grail" as her favorite song at the time.

Attending the 2014 People's Choice Awards will be a venue for the two stars to reunite and have real conversation, and maybe see if the spark is still there. Fans from around the globe are keeping their fingers crossed of the upcoming reunion of the two stars.

Other stars who will be attending the event includes Drew Barrymore, Robert Downey Jr., Zac Efron, "Vampire Diaries" stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, Melissa McCarthy, Sean Hayes, Anna Faris, Queen Latifah, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Miles Teller, "Girls" star Allison Williams, Norman Reedus and Shemar Moore.

Brad Paisley is also scheduled to perform during the awards show and will join other country performers which are yet to be announced. Sara Bareilles and OneRepublic are booked to set the stage on fire for the upcoming show.
