2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards: Most Hilarious and Memorable Speeches By Winners
The Hollywood Award season kick-started with the Golden Globes has now moved forward with the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) which gives accolades to outstanding performances in film and primetime television. With the winners come their speech which leaves a long lasting impression on the memory of audience. Let's find out who delivered the most memorable speeches at this year's SAG Awards.
Best Supporting Actress winner Lupita Nyong'o entertained the audience with her speech which was more of praise for Brad Pitt! The "12 Years a Slave" star reminisced the moment when she came to know she was offered the role in the award winning movie.
"My dad was the first person I called when I got this role and I said to him, 'Daddy do you know Brad Pitt? I'm going to be in a movie with him. And he said, 'I don't know him personally, but I'm glad you got a job' So am I so am I!'" said Nyong'o making the audience laugh.
"Matthew, all right all right all right, baby," said Jared Leto, who not only thanked his "Dallas Buyers Club" co-star after his win for Best Supporting Actor but also sounded a lot like him.
"I'd like to begin by thanking the members of the Hollywood Foreign Press for this Golden Globe," said Julia Louis-Dreyfus on stage as she won her SAG trophy.
"I know most of you out here have read my book Acting: How To Do It Good," said Ty Burrell as he accepted his SAG Award for Best Male Actor in a Comedy Series.
"We're going to make Sofia talk because America loves her and her boobs," stunned Julie Bowen with her witty humor as "Modern Family" won SAG Award win for Best Comedy Ensemble.
"Matt [Damon], I want to be serious right now, I know we've gone head to head," were Matthew Douglas's hilarious words as he accepted the award for Best Actor in TV Movie or Miniseries for Behind the Candelabra.
"Sally, I'm very lonely up here without you. This is half yours. The p-nis part," said Cate Blanchett as she won her Best Actress SAG Award and expressed her desire to share the trophy with her onscreen sister Sally Hawkins!
