With the final set of games in the 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season done in Week 17 on Sunday, the playoff picture is now clear and the road to the Super Bowl for the respective teams is clearly defined. Which match-ups are the most interesting? What teams have the “easier” path to a probable NFL championship?
Five teams finished the regular season with a 12-4 record. Seattle, Green Bay, Dallas in the NFC and New England and Denver in the AFC. Of those teams, the Cowboys are the unlucky ones dropping to the wild card round against the Detroit Lions owing to their inferior conference record. Here’s a look at the final standings of the top six teams in each conference after the regular season.
2014 NFL Regular Season Standings - NFC
1. Seattle Seahawks (12-4)
2. Green Bay Packers (12-4)
3. Dallas Cowboys (12-4)
4. Carolina Panthers (7-8-1)
