2016 People’s Choice Awards: ‘Quantico’ star Priyanka Chopra wins ‘Favourite Actress Award’
“Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra won the coveted Favourite Actress in a New TV Series category at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards (PCA) in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday. The Bollywood diva became the first South Asian actress to win a PCA. She competed with actresses like Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Marcia Gay Harden and Lea Michele for the award.
Chopra earlier said that she was nervous to attend the PCA as it was her first awards ceremony in a country away from home. The 33-year-old star who plays the role of Alex Parrish in “Quantico” looked stunning in a Vera Wang Spring 2016 collection dress, Perez Hilton reports. Her haltered midi metallic dress is in silver and gold and has a flared skirt.
The actress accessorised with Leticia Linton and Anita Ko exquisite bow earrings and rings. She paired her ultra-glam look with a pair of metallic Jimmy Choo high heels and matching clutch. Her long raven tresses were styled into an up ‘do’ while her smoky eyes and pink lipstick was her flawless make-up for the night.
In her acceptance speech, Chopra thanked the “Quantico” writers. The official Twitter page of “Quantico” shared the big news. Her fans and followers took to Twitter to congratulate her on her win and she responded also through Twitter for the feat.
