Despite opposition of some religions, such as Christianity and Islam, to masturbation, several scientific studies say the practice has health benefits such as prevention of cystitis, diabetes and prostate cancer, according to University of Sydney researchers. A new porn website wants to convert masturbation into a charitable act.

Huffingtonpost reports that IJustCame.org, the adult content website which brands itself as the Happiest Porn Site on Earth, would donate a penny each time a viewer masturbates to its videos. The chosen charities are the Movember Foundation, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund and Joyful Heart Foundation.

Movember finances research for prostate and testicular cancer, while Joyful Heart helps victims of assault. The three foundations were chosen since these charities work on issues such as promoting sexual assault, rape and revenge porn that the porn industry is accused of. But when Huffington contacted the three charities, they were unaware of the website nor the planned donation to them.

The website admits they can only assume that viewers would pleasure themselves when they watch the site’s X-rated films since there is no way they could confirm the act. However, so as not to tire the watcher too much, the porn website would limited the donations to twice a day and each charitable orgasm requires a 15-minute cool-off period.

The website was created by Adam Lee and James Cook, Stanford undergraduates. Lee shares that the idea of a charitable masturbation donation would be their way of attaining online success. Before they launched the website, the two tried a private version and raised US$1,000 for charity in a short time.

The two now make the donations from the private funds but plan to tap brands to sponsor each orgasm. Cook explains, “Users will see the brand logo and ad copy after they click the ‘IJustCame’ button on the website. For brands, this means that they have the user’s attention at the height of their attention and dopamine levels after they orgasm, which is a pretty big deal.”

In 2015, Pornhub offered a US$25,000 college scholarship as part of the website’s Pornhub Cares campaign. The scholarship was open to all college students from all over the world. Despite the “no strings attached promise,” so people doubted the offer because of the website’s contents.
