Not all TV shows have bad stories or characters. Some of these were actually good, except that the networks had other goals when they aired these.

Here are some fan favorites that should be given a second chance on the screen.

1. "Firefly"

The TV show is a space-western drama created by Joss Whedon. The story was set in the year 2517, and featured the adventures of Serenity, a renegade spaceship and its nine-member crew. The series was cut after the 14th episode, with some fans feeling that the characters and story were redundant. In a report by Inside TV, however, others thought that the show deserved a second chance and that the characters were actually well-balanced.

2. "Trophy Wife"

The TV show was cancelled after just one season. The story revolved around an attractive woman, Kate, who married a lawyer. Her husband, however, has two ex-wives and three children so Kate has to deal with these individuals accordingly. A lot of people gave positive reviews to the show, but the time slot might have turned off several fans.

3. :Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23"

In an article by TV.com, the American sitcom was cancelled during its second season. The story revolved around a woman who moved to New York City. She did not realize that her housemate was a con-artist and the two form a unique friendship together.

4. "Deadwood"

The Western TV series was cancelled before the fourth season was aired. According to TV Guide, the story was well-received by viewers and it was quite a mystery to many why the concluding season was never shown. Many people were still asking about how creator David Milch would have ended the story.

5. "Jericho"

Although CBS wanted to cancel the show after its first season, fans clamored for it to continue, but the network realized that it had enough after seven episodes. The writers followed with the rest of the story through comic books.

In many cases, fans requested to get the rest of the story from the cancelled shows by writing to the creators or asking for these to be revived through written materials online.
