Innocent fans are victimized by various Hollywood trends. Although some ideas are very creative and actually look good on people, there are certain fads that go overboard, making followers look ridiculous or even putting their health or reputation at risk.

Here are five trends in Hollywood that need to stop immediately.

1. Wedge sneakers

When designer Isabel Marant featured the first wedge sneakers, these became an instant hit. However, the high demand for the shoes immediately caused unscrupulous manufacturers to come up with fakes. Some of these have zero quality and can even cause women to twist an ankle. It is safer to wear regular sneakers instead.

2. Socks and sandals

Sarah Jessica Parker initiated the horrific look by mixing socks with sandals. In an article by Zagline.com, the 'Sex and the City' star even upped the ante by wearing bright-colored pairs of both. But she's a fashion maven and can afford to take such risky combinations. Normal people are expected to wear these alternately, not at the same time.

3. Saggy jeans

Although some people can still look good in hip-hop fashion, the baggy jeans were never attractive since rappers started sporting these. Justin Bieber continues to wear drop-crotch jeans and in a wide array of colors like purple cheetah, red and orange. The horror has to end.

4. Bright Uggs

Although it is acceptable for women to own at least one pair of Uggs, it is highly recommended to stick to earth and dark tones. Avoid getting the hot pink and neon ones. These never looked good with any upperwear, regardless of who you are in Hollywood.

5. Bum-baring shorts

Some Hollywood stars are gifted with round and firm buttocks and will look good with bum-baring shorts. However, majority of their fans struggle with imperfect butt cheeks that hang out of the denim shorts. According to Allwomenstalk.com, it is better to go up a size or pull down the pair. Also, stick with blue, white or black.

Trends usually come from Hollywood, but, obviously, not all should see broad daylight. Fans on the other hand, have to understand that their favorite stars have the cash and time at their disposal to tend to their physical looks and perform fashion experiments all the time. Practicality will help dictate which trends will suit you best.
