5 "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" Moments The Producers Should Never Leave Out Of The Movie [SPOILERS]
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
As people anticipate the launch of Hunger Games: Mockingjay in November, avid fans of the novel cannot help but speculate which good parts the film might have left out. Some parts of the original plot in the book are deemed too good to be stricken out.
Here are some Mockingjay Moments that the producers should feature no matter what happens.
1. The wasteland that used to be District 13
In the books, District 13 was bombed severely and turned into a desolate wasteland where separatists are planning to rise against the Capitol. The movie should properly depict the landscape, considering that it is one of the most important places in the book.
2. Snow's roses
In the books, President Snow kept on dropping evil roses in places where Katniss can find these and be threatened by her rebellious acts. According to MTV.com, Snow might have left different symbols to destroy the revolution such as a crop circle. Fans hope that the sentimental images of the Mockingjay stamped on bread and other places would remain throughout the movie.
3. Boggs handing Katniss control of the unit
Commander Boggs is one of the first to die in the novel, but he gives Katniss control over the unit before he succumbs to death. In a report by Shmoop.com, Katniss shares to her teammates that she is on a secret mission to kill President Snow and the team members are sacrificed one at a time as they venture into the Capitol. It is a tear-jerking scene that should be shown by the movie producers.
4. Katniss is no longer romantically linked with Gale
Buzzfeed.com writes that the friendship of Gale and Katniss is likely to end in the first part of Mockingjay, after the two have shown possible signs of falling in love with each other in the past couple of films. It could be a good closure for fans who kept wondering what could have happened between the two of them.
5. Finnick and Prim die
The deaths of key characters should always be included in the film. However, the film can do justice by making their deaths meaningful, such as Finnick giving himself up to save other teammates. There is a huge possibility that the producers might decide not to kill Prim so as not to make Katniss's initial decision to join the Hunger Games meaningless.
