1. The Great Barrier Reef

The reef is located just near the coast of Queens land and was formed 25 million years ago. It has a length of 3,000 kilometers and features ,1500 species of tropical fish and 400 kinds of corals.

These are limestone formations that emerged 30,000 years ago. The Pinnacles are located north of Perth in Nambung National Park. The Pinnacles rose above the sand after the ocean receded, leaving thousands of seashells behind. The landscape almost looks alien because of the unique formations. Some of these are several meters tall with sharp or rounded tips.

The lake is very special because of its pink colour. It measures about 2000 feet long and is surrounded by forests and sandy areas. The pink hue of the water is caused by the organisms called Halobacteria and Dunaliella Salina. The salt crusts are said to contain many of these distinct organisms that produce the pink dye.

Tourists will be amazed at how the giant rock changes hues depending on the time of day. It can be orange or red at sunrise, then turns blue or purpose at dusk.
