5 SOS Fans Reminisce Two Years of 'Gotta Get Out' via Twitter
Fans of Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer fondly reminisce the second year of the band's "Gotta Get Out" on the social media Twitter.
The song was released to YouTube in 2012 and has dramatically increased the boy band's international following after One Direction member Louis Tomlison posted a link to it stating that he had been a fan.
Band member Michael Clifford brought back an old post of the song lyrics which reads: "If the earth ends up crumbling down to its knees then baby we better run really fast and get underground or some shit we don't die."
5 SOS fans could not help but get emotional on their Twitter posts. One user @cliffordxxbiebs posted: "This song always get me emotional...and i don't know why.." while another user @horan_clifford_ said that he is crying. Still another user @5sos_cuties posted that she could cry a thousand oceans and another user also mentioned that the band have grown so much that she was emotional but denied she was crying and mentioned instead that she was just sweating.
Along with the fans' emotional connection to the band is the high reverence to them. One user @Hayley_Nichole8 stated: "I'm emotional I love them so much" while one user @miigwan35 also posted that it does not seemed that long but the band is his hero. One user @ashbeanieboy also tweeted that everything have happened too fast, she was just so proud of the 5 SOS band.
There were also fans who only had fond memories of the bond and the song. As @adam_wilkinson puts it: "I remember this like it was yesterday.1st full day I spent with the boys at a Sydney warehouse." Another user @NLupdate5SOS also stated that she was not there when the song "Gotta Get Out" was released but she is so proud of the 5 SOS band for achieving so far in life.
The band is composed of Luke Hemmings (lead vocals, guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar, vocals), Calum Hood (bass guitar, vocals) and Ashton Irwin (drums, vocals).
Their new music single "Don't Stop" was simultaneously released to across Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Ireland, Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, India, Russia, Morocco, Egypt and Cape Town on May 21.
